Biography
Johan Ochoa is a professional dancer, performer, instructor, and competition judge from Medellín, Colombia, with more than 15 years of experience in the dance industry. Throughout his career, he has represented Colombian dance culture on national and international stages, earning recognition for his talent, discipline, and artistic versatility.
As both an educator and adjudicator, Johan has participated in numerous competitions, festivals, and training programs around the world, receiving multiple distinctions and contributing to the development of dancers across different generations and styles.
His journey has led him to collaborate with some of the most respected dance projects in Colombia, including Bumaye Danza, Latin Dance Center, and Johan & Valentina Official, where he has worked as a performer, choreographer, mentor, and artistic leader.
Known for his dynamic teaching style, strong technical foundation, and ability to connect with students of all levels, Johan combines performance excellence with a deep passion for sharing knowledge. Whether teaching a beginner or preparing advanced dancers for the stage, he focuses on helping each student develop confidence, musicality, technique, and authentic expression.
Today, Johan continues to be an influential figure in Medellín's dance community, sharing his experience and passion with dancers from Colombia and around the world while promoting the rich culture and energy that make Latin dance so unique.
